2. What if I am not on Medicare, can I still get home care if my doctor prescribes it?
Home health care, when prescribed by your physician, is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and many private insurance companies. Check with your insurance company.

3. My mom has been prescribed home health care but she goes to church on Sundays when she feels up to it. It's one of the few times she leaves the house and it's very hard on her. Will this disqualify her from home health care?
The CMS says that "A patient's homebound status is not violated by attendance of religious services or attendance at a State licensed, State certified, or State accredited medical adult day care center."
