Rick Griffin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CareSouth. Prior to joining CareSouth, he was formerly Senior Vice President and General Counsel to Central Georgia Health System, Inc., an integrated healthcare provider with more than $675 million annual sales. While serving as general counsel, Mr. Griffin became integrally involved with the management of the system and was pivotal in the acquisition, transition and management of CareSouth.

Mr. Griffin assumed the role of CEO of CareSouth in September, 2000. A senior leader with more than 25 years experience in the healthcare field, Mr. Griffin is responsible for the overall management of CareSouth and all of its operating entities, as well as its strategic partners.

Mr. Griffin received his BBA from the University of Georgia in 1977. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, with honors, in 1980. He is a member of The American College of Healthcare Executives and of the Vistage International CEO Organization.
