CareSouth Sending Medical Supplies for Haiti Earthquake Victims
01/15/2010
CareSouth is joining the cause to help deliver life-saving medical supplies to the victims of Tuesday's devastating earthquake in Haiti. As of today there are a reported three million people in Haiti who have been affected by the earthquake where the capital, Port-au-Prince was destroyed. Reports indicate that 85 percent of the buildings in Port-au-Prince have been destroyed leaving millions of homeless survivors. The victims of this disaster need our help NOW.
CareSouth will be gathering extra or expired medical supplies from all our agencies across the country to ship to MedShare. MedShare is a nonprofit organization that recovers and redistributes surplus medical supplies and equipment to qualified healthcare facilities in the developing world. You can learn more about them at www.medshare.org.
