The goals of the program are:

• Improved patient outcomes
• Standardized orthopedic rehab care
• Increased patient comfort levels
• Restore patient to independent living
• Prevent post operative injuries

CareSouth provides a full staff of certified physical and occupational therapists that provide a comprehensive approach to achieve continuity of care, to include:

• Pre-admission baseline assessment prior to surgery and on admission with comprehensive treatment and evaluation
• Provide thorough home safety assessment
• Bedside Protime/INR testing and results
• Comprehensive, physician recommended, home exercise program
• Mobility device training
• Education on the overall care of a joint replacement: incision care, precautions, diet, pain management, activity and mobility
• Provide and review an orthopedic booklet based on national standards of care
• Assess patient compliance and ability/willingness to comply
