Physical Therapy (PT) services are provided by a licensed therapist or licensed therapy assistant under the direction of the therapist. Your therapist will evaluate and treat problems with moving, balance, and coordination.
Some things a PT will do for you:
- Examine your medical history,
- Test your motor function, respiration, and other forms of muscle function,
- Help to determine when you are ready to integrate back into everyday life without further assistance, and
- Work with your physician to develop treatment plans describing the strategy, purpose, and the desired results of your intentions.
