John M Southern
Chief Financial Officer
John Southern is the Chief Financial Officer of CareSouth and has been with the company since July, 1999. Prior to joining CareSouth, he was Vice President of Finance for two health care start-up companies that specialized in physician practice management and health care, corporate compliance programs and risk assessment.
Previously, Mr. Southern was Vice President and Controller of Operations for HouseCall Medical Resources, Inc., a public home health company. He also held various management positions at Charter Medical Corporation.
Mr. Southern has more than 25 years of health care experience with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, turn-around situations, start-ups and rapid-growth companies. At CareSouth, Mr. Southern oversees the delivery of all financial services both internal and external. He has a Master's degree of accounting from the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Account. He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
