I was listening to the radio last week. One of my favorite afternoon talk radio hosts was online telling us all how to save money. I was listening to his every word. At some point he switched from saving money to self-driving cars. He mentioned that Nevada passed a law making it legal to own cars that can drive themselves. Apparently, that's news. My car drives itself already and has for years.

Case in point: I drive to work the same way every morning. One morning I left early to pick up something on the way to work. Earlier, I planned my route carefully. My car, however, went the same route it has been going for years. I had to make the stop on the way home. Of course, on the way home, I was listening to my favorite talk radio guy and I missed the turn and wound up in my driveway. I had to make a separate trip for one little item. I tell you, that car has a mind of its own.

On second thought, maybe a car that drives itself isn't such a bad idea.
